1. General characteristics of the profession

Engaged in haircuts, styling, painting, perm. Washes hair customers, performs shaving the skin of the face. Highly skilled masters develop models of hairstyles, take part in competitions for hairdressers. A hairdresser can be a specialist in men's or women's haircuts, a specialist in a wide profile, a children's hairdresser.

2. Requirements for the individual characteristics of a specialist

Physical endurance, flexibility and mobility of hands and fingers, tact, aesthetic taste are necessary.

3. Medical contraindications

Professional activities are not recommended for persons with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, eczema of the hands, allergic reactions to hair, varnishes, dyes, polyarthritis, diseases of the respiratory system, and neuropsychiatric diseases.

4. Requirements for training

The hairdresser needs knowledge of the basics of chemistry within the school, medicine (anatomy), and ethics of communicating with people. He should know the basics of creating modern hairstyles, the structure and properties of skin and hair, the rules for drawing up dyeing and chemical solutions and blends, their effect on skin and hair.

The hairdresser should be able to use equipment, tools, appliances and equipment, as well as keep the workplace clean.
