It performs sales planning, analyzes and prioritizes (which customers are most important to the company) and acts as a link between the manufacturer or the head office and the regional office. The city manager in a foreign company differs in its functions from its counterpart in a Russian company. In the classic version there are several supervisors in his submission - for urban and regional sales. Each has its own team. The attention of the city manager is more focused on the city. He supervises the work of supervisors, clerks of the sales department, merchandisers (monitors compliance with the standards of merchandising), sales representatives and delivery service drivers. Thus, he manages all sales - retail, the Vanselling system (sales from wheels), he communicates with key clients and develops an active customer base. All sales information flows to him, and based on this data and marketing research, the city manager draws up business plans and sales forecasts. In addition, he can develop local promotions for customers. Typically, sales representatives for key or wholesale customers will grow up within the company to the city manager.
