1. General characteristics of the profession

Responsible for the timeliness of the implementation of orders taken by the printing companies of the publishing department.

2. Official duties

Participates in the preparation of draft contracts with printing companies for the implementation of printing and design works, schedules of editorial and production processes of publications. He places orders and transmits to the printing companies in time, prepared for the collection of manuscripts, illustrations, as well as proofs and signal copies of publications. Keeps records of the implementation of schedules for the set, printing and production of circulations, controls the completeness of publications and the quality of printing. Takes measures to prevent or eliminate irregularities in the implementation of schedules for the passage of publications. Monitors the timely production of films and samples of illustrations and ensuring their delivery. It receives proofs from prints from printing companies, signal copies of publications, checks the compliance of their quality with the requirements of the technical publishing specification and the conditions of the concluded contracts. In case of violation of these conditions, in the established order returns the proofs for additional editing. Participates in the acceptance of print runs from printing companies.
