Three-phase power

Lecture

Instantaneous power of a three-phase source of electrical energy:

P = P a + P b + P c = U a I a + U b I b + U c I c

The average for the period value of power, i.e. generator power is equal to the sum of the active powers of the individual phases.

  Three-phase power

Active power of any phase:

  Three-phase power

P = Pa + Pb + Pc

Reactive power is equal to the algebraic sum of the reactive powers of the individual phases:

Q = Qa + Qb + Qc
