Chapter 3. PHOTOMETRY AND COLORIMETRY

Lecture

In ch. 2 human vision was considered in a qualitative aspect, and an attempt was made to build models of monochrome and color vision. These models can be given a quantitative character, if we introduce measures of the quantities that determine the human perception of light. Measures of brightness are studied in photometry, and colors - in colorimetry. This chapter discusses issues related to both of these disciplines, as well as light sources.
