Learning Experiment

Lecture

We know that those who show the least interest in learning sit on the last rows or occupy side seats. We conducted a further experiment in order to find out whether students occupy places according to their mood or the place occupied by the listener has an impact on their learning. To do this, we hung plates with the names of listeners on the seats so that they could not take their usual places. We deliberately put the most active participants on the side seats and in the last rows, and those who usually sat in the last rows and showed a negative attitude were transplanted forward. We found that negatively-minded listeners, being in the front row, began to actively participate in the process and show signs of interest. Those who used to sit in the front row, and now they are behind, are bored and have lost interest in the process. This experiment tells the teacher an excellent reception: if you want a person to better understand the information, put him in the first row. Some presentations and seminars are held with a small number of participants, who are seated with a horseshoe or an open square, so that all those present will be in the first row. Such placement facilitates eye contact and also stimulates active participation in the process.
