The level of development of the psyche of animals

Lecture

In animals, the level of development of the psyche is associated with the level of their relationship with the environment. There are the following types of relationships of the animal with the environment:
1. Relationship with the territory (main area):
- the territory of residence and its composition;
- on what grounds the animal is oriented;
- functional zones (where it feeds, hunts, waits danger.
Some species are able to adjust the terrain for themselves, some species may notice something new in the locality.
2. The relationship in the field of nutrition:
- information about the diet of the animal.
3. Relationships in the reproductive sphere:
- how steam is produced;
- how the animal arranges the place of birth of the offspring;
- care for the cubs and the relationship with them.
4. Relationships in the field of communication with relatives:
- lifestyle (single, family, gregarious);
- group structure, hierarchy;
- organization of relations between animals (functional division in a flock, not a hierarchy);
- animal language.
5. Relationships in the field of communication with a person:
- the ability of an animal to establish contact with a person, whether it responds to human attempts to contact and how;
- the ability of an animal to master an alien language, to learn what goes beyond its type-typical behavior (this ability is an indicator of the level of development of the psyche of the animal).
