Teens in a conflict family

Lecture

. In the conflict family, the father is seen as unemployed almost as often as working. Mother is more often presented as working than in the role of housewife.
Its role in the conflicting family is also treated differently. The question: “Whom do you want to be in this family?” - the most common answer is “Nick”. Another frequent variant: “I would like to be the head of the family and fix everything”.
From the point of view of adolescents, violence (“stick”, “fist”, “belt”, “shout”, “scream”, “beating”) is the main means of education in a conflict family. They may even "not bring up", because "do not care."
According to the ideas of adolescents, in a conflict family, children are closer to each other than to their parents, often to no one or non family members. Such children are “closed”, “are afraid to say something”, “are left to the mercy of fate” and at the same time “do not have independence”, are distinguished by bad behavior, spoiled relations with friends and others. Thus, if we generalize the “portrait” of a child from a conflict family, he is very realistic, common and easily recognizable.
Comparing the ideas of adolescents about the ideal and conflict-ridden family, the following can be noted:
Adolescents have quite differentiated ideas about the family, which differ from the corresponding ideas in adults.
The structure of the family in the views of adolescents in 60% of cases looks like "Husband - Wife - Children" and only 40% - more traditionally: "Husband - Children - Wife".
Adolescents tend to replace the issue of family leadership with an equality clause. However, they quite often accept the variant of the primacy of the husband. The views of schoolchildren reflect the changing socio-economic reality: in 65% of cases, in their opinion, the head of the family should, in their opinion, be a man.
