Speech apparatus

Speech apparatus and its structure.

Today, the structure of the human speech apparatus is considered fully studied. It allowed not only to understand how the formation of sounds, but also to explore possible problems and violation of the speech apparatus, as well as to find ways to eliminate them.

The pronunciation of sounds and their combinations is the result of the contraction of the muscular tissues that make up the peripheral speech apparatus. Starting to speak, we automatically exhale, the flow of air from the lungs passes into the larynx, and the nerve impulses arising from this affect the vocal cords. They vibrate, contributing to the formation of voice sounds, forming words and sentences of speech.

Departments of speech apparatus are divided into moving and stationary parts. The first group includes the lips, lower jaw, tongue and palate, and the second group includes the upper jaw, teeth and alveoli. The difference in the vowel and consonant sounds of speech is explained by the position at which the moving parts of the speech apparatus are currently taking. If speech is not divided, the development of speech organs will improve the pronunciation. If this measure does not help, then perhaps a thorough investigation and even the prompt treatment of defects in the speech apparatus are necessary.

Among the main reasons that make a person’s speech apparatus imperfect can be identified:
• defects in the structure of organs and tissues;
• improper use of speech apparatus;
• disorders of the nervous system, responsible for the formation and formation of sounds and speech.

Another way to classify the departments of the speech apparatus is to divide them into a central speech apparatus and a peripheral division. The central department is located in the brain - the left hemisphere is “responsible” for the formation and development of speech, as well as for the functioning of the organs, due to which sounds are formed. And all these organs of speech form the peripheral apparatus, which is connected with the central pathways - the nerve fibers that transmit the impulse from the brain.

If you have been diagnosed with defects in the apparatus of speech, you should not postpone their correction and treatment until later. Very often, a person with similar disorders not only speaks poorly, but also has problems with breathing, chewing food, etc. By eliminating the shortcomings of the speech apparatus, you can not only improve your pronunciation, but also get rid of a number of inconveniences and unpleasant sensations.
