Bodywork Articulation and Sound Energy

Lecture

Articulation and sound energy

The purpose of the lesson   - Develop articulation surfaces. To find a balance of vowels and consonants, emotionality and intellectuality in speech.

Preparatory exercises:

Exercise "monkey"

Warm up for the muscles of the face.

Objective: Learn the economical use of articulation muscles so that all words can be formed in a small space of the mouth.

=> Stretch the corners of the mouth and gather together, leaving the muscles of the lips soft. => Raise and lower the upper lip, baring the upper incisors (lower lip) => Raise and lower the right and left cheekbones. => Alternate the movement of the lips and cheekbones.

Exercise "Cat - dog"

=> Stand on all fours - bend your back with an arc, directing all vertebrae upwards, direct the tailbone downwards and drop your head - “an angry cat”

=> Start “bending in” a vertebra for a vertebra in a wave-like movement from the tailbone - “good dog”.

=> Accompany this movement with outgoing fff breathing.

=> Return to the “angry cat”, the movement is always starting from the tailbone, on the incoming breath.

=> The muscles of the throat, chest and abdomen relax.

Articulation

Work with different articulation surfaces of the tongue and lips. Exercises will help, through vowels and consonants, to equalize the balance in speech (emotionality and intellectuality of sound). This will help to make speech meaningful and accessible to the interlocutor.

Syllable exercises:

Bada-Gadha "... Gad-Bada, ... Pata-Kata, ... Kata-Pata ...

In fine sayings:   From the tramp of hoofs dust flies across the field.

It should pop on the shovel, the cap on the pope,

Shoal under the priest, priest under the hood.

Turn a chatter into a patter, for which increase the speed of speech and awaken a lot of thought energy when pronouncing. Read verses or prose aloud, honing your articulation skills.

Formula of speech;

=> The desire to say (mental impulse) affects the respiratory muscles and the larynx.

=> Sound waves enter resonators.

=> Ready voice with the help of tongue and lips are formed into speech.
