2 6. Interaction strategies

Lecture

Schemes (strategies) of behavior are manifested in a productive or unproductive communicative style. The distinction between these two contact strategies can be based on the value axis “attitude to another as to value - attitude to another as a means” (see: Dotsenko, EL. Psychology of manipulation: phenomena, mechanisms and protection. M., 1997) .

Strategies for interpersonal interaction are lined up taking into account the mutual transitions between the positions of individuals.

When defining strategies, several levels of defining an individual’s position are listed:

  • domination
  • manipulation
  • rivalry
  • partnership
  • commonwealth

Strictly speaking, only the last two installations can be attributed to the productive interaction style . This style is understood as a fruitful contact in interpersonal interaction, contributing to the establishment of relations of mutual trust, the disclosure of personal potentials and the achievement of effective results of joint activities.

  • How do interpersonal interaction strategies work out?
  • What can be attributed to the productive style of interaction?
