1. Subject mechanics. Kinematics. Introduction

Lecture

Subject mechanics . Mechanics is the section of physics devoted to the study of
patterns of the simplest form of motion of matter - mechanical motion.

Mechanics
consists of three subsections: kinematics, dynamics and statics.

Kinematics
studies the movement of bodies without taking into account the reasons for it. She operates with such
values as the displacement traversed
path, time, speed and acceleration.

Dynamics
explores the laws and causes of the movement of bodies, i.e. studies movement
material bodies under the action of forces applied to them. To kinematic
magnitude values are added - force and mass.

In statics
investigate the equilibrium conditions of the system of bodies. Statics set out
in special sections of mechanics and here it is not considered separately
will be.

Reference system
A reference system is a combination of a coordinate system and a clock. Concept
reference system, includes the space-time characteristic
body position, while the spatial characteristic is given by
coordinates, and temporary - using the clock.

Mechanical motion is the change in the relative position of bodies.
relative to each other in space with
over time. Any mechanical movement is relative.

A material point is a body whose size and shape can be neglected in
comparing with the sizes of other bodies or distances to them in the conditions of this
tasks.
