6.5. Self-portrait of an entrepreneur - Entrepreneurship Psychology

Lecture

If the image of an entrepreneur in a mirror of sociological analysis is rather negative, then a “self-portrait”, or an image of an entrepreneur in his own eyes, turned out to be among scientists with a plus sign. This indicates a pronounced professional satisfaction of entrepreneurs.

There are two approaches to the problem of searching for subjective psychological prerequisites for successful entrepreneurial activity: the first relates entrepreneurs to a special category of people endowed with certain psychological qualities; according to the second, everybody has entrepreneurial activity, but to varying degrees. Since the range of successful entrepreneurs is small, the first approach prevails.
