Quantum information

Quantum information is the main subject of the study of quantum informatics - the section of science at the junction of quantum mechanics, and information theory, including questions of quantum computing and quantum algorithms, quantum computers and quantum teleportation, quantum cryptography and decoherence problems.

The basic concept of classical information theory is a bit, taking the values ​​0 or 1. Quantum information is represented in qubits. Qubits can be in a state that is a superposition of 0 and 1. Several qubits can be in an entangled state. In quantum information theory, the general principles and laws governing the dynamics of complex quantum systems (for example, quantum computers) are studied.
