3.1.3. Integration task

The task of integration is to reduce the indefinite integral to the elementary function. The process of integration consists in transforming the integrand so that to take advantage of the properties of the integral or methods of integration, to transform the initial integral into one or several tabular integrals. Not all indefinite integrals reduce to elementary functions. For example, the integrals not expressed through elementary functions.
