National psychological features

National psychological features are of particular interest to specialists in psychological warfare. They are the most important characteristic, the specifics of which must be taken into account if you want to achieve the maximum effect of psychological influence.
First, because the military and the population of the enemy are people who think, feel, experience, perceive the impact on them in accordance with the laws inherent in this ethnic community.
Secondly, if the methods of psychological influence on the troops and the population of the enemy, the content and form of the presentation of propaganda materials do not correspond to the national-psychological characteristics of the object, then this effect itself will either be useless or lead to the opposite result.
National psychological characteristics are a form of manifestation of national psychology. The latter is an integral part of the spiritual life of society, which reflects the common thing that representatives of a whole nation (ethnos) have in ideas, stable forms of behavior, psychological features, in reactions, speech and language, attitudes towards other people and nature.
The bodies of the psychological warfare of a number of countries have considerable experience in studying the national psychological characteristics of various ethnic groups.
Below are summarized characteristics of some of them.
Americans are inherent: businesslike and practical; energy and vitality; initiative and enterprise in all activities; willingness to experiment and risk; passion for invention; independence and scope; propensity to standardize and label; organizational skills; simplicity and credulity; love of sport; humor; overestimation of their strengths and capabilities, lack of discipline; adventurism; certain rudeness and boasting, arrogance, arrogance and arrogance in dealing with representatives of other ethnic communities.
The British are peculiar to: high practicality; hard work; efficiency, perseverance, perseverance and vigor in all activities; enterprise and ability to organize a business; propensity to compromise; rejection of hard pressure on the person; inability to abstract, fettered imagination; weak intellectual mobility and ingenuity; conservatism in the perception of the surrounding reality; courage, endurance, composure and calm; balanced behavior and self-confidence; rapid physical and psychological adaptation to new conditions of life and activity; high cohesive force in the team; love of sport; humor; callousness and distance in communicating with representatives of other nations.
