CONCLUSION

Lecture

It is difficult to write about various areas of psychotherapy. It is like trying to grasp the immensity. Each of the classic psychotherapeutic areas can be studied all of life, and still the specialist will open new reserves for improvement. Success can be achieved only in the case of a creative and individual approach in each individual case.

The main task of our book is to introduce the main directions of psychotherapy, show the possibility of their use in the non-medical field and give you the opportunity to choose one or another direction in which you want to improve. Of course, not all interesting developments were included in this book. So, the section of directive psychotherapy (suggestion, self-hypnosis, the basics of hypnosis), in our opinion, requires separate consideration, as well as Eastern techniques of psychotherapy. As for hypnosis, then, in our opinion, this is generally an area of medical psychotherapy and psychiatry, as well as coding and certain types of suggestion that require special training, which is not provided as part of psychological and pedagogical training.

We did not touch upon psychological counseling issues in our work, since the study of this topic is not part of the objectives of our manual. In addition, she is quite competently covered in special textbooks by G.S. Abramova (“Practical training in psychological counseling”, “Practical psychology”).

However, it should be remembered the statement of the outstanding domestic psychotherapist and psychiatrist Viktor Kogan that a psychotherapist may not be a psychological counselor (although this is desirable), but a psychological counselor cannot but know the basics of psychotherapy.
