Quantum biology

Lecture

Quanta biology is the direction of biology ( not officially regarded as a separate academic direction ), which aims to consider living systems from the perspective of quantum theory.

Applies the terms of quantum mechanics to the description of such biological processes and dynamic molecular structures as the absorption of electromagnetic radiation of a certain frequency (for example, photosynthesis [1] and vision [2] ); conversion of chemical energy into motion; [3] magnetoreception in animals [4] and Brownian motors in many cellular processes. [five]

The appearance of such a science in the future was predicted by A. L. Chizhevsky:

"... from quantum physics and quantum chemistry, quantum biophysics and quantum biochemistry will have to be born, and of them quantum quantum physiology, quantum biology and, finally, quantum medicine ..." [6]

How does the charge determine in flight where is the south? The answer will seem strange to you: quantum physics may be involved in this. In his speech, Jim El-Khalili introduces us to the barely born, extremely unusual world of quantum biology, in which the phenomenon, called “eerie long-range action” by Einstein, helps birds navigate and quantum effects can explain the origin of life as such.
